Blue Sea Cruises operates directly from the Kailua Pier across from the King Kamehameha Hotel.  Use the hotel address for your GPS device to find the pier.  75-5660 Palani Rd or Ali'i and Palani Road intersection.

Approximate driving times from around the Island to Kailua-Kona Downtown from:

• Mauna Kea                                           55 minutes
• Mauna Lani                                          50 minutes
• Waikoloa Visitor Area                             45 minutes
• Hualalai Resort Area                              35 minutes
• Alii Drive Hotels                                     15-20 minutes
• Sheraton Hotel                                      20-25 minutes
• South Kona Accommodations                  35-60 minutes
• Volcano Park Area                                  2 hours
• Hilo (using Saddle Road)                        2.5 hours

These times all are approximated travel times and can vary do to weather conditions, road hazards, time of day or other circumstances.  Please allow additional time for travel as necessary or call and ask for advice. You will be charged the full amount if you “miss the boat” per our 48 hour cancellation policy.

Staying at the Hilton, Marriott, Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Hualulai Four Seasons, or any of the other North Kona accommodations available you drive down Highway 19 going south to Kailua-Kona. 7 miles after the airport stoplight turn right on to Palani Road (3 Flag Poles on the Right at the Corner).  The Kailua Pier is at the end of the Palani in front of the King Kamehameha Hotel.  There is no parking available directly in front of the pier. 

For pay parking you can choose the King Kamehameha Hotel on Palani in back of the hotel.  The entrance is on the right after the second stoplight on Palani.  Usually runs about $3 per hour.

Free Public parking is available as you come down Palani Road turn left at the second stoplight onto Kuakini Highway and go south about a block.   Entrance on your right.  This is one street above the coastal drive of Alii.  There are sidewalks leading down in-between the shops.  You will see the pier in the bay as you walk on Alii.

Walk along Alii and go past the chain gate at the end of the pier.  Walk out on the pier to find your Blue Sea Cruise's Vessel - Gold and Blue M/V Spirit of Kona for check in..  Here you will find a podium at the loading ramp to the boat manned by our crew to greet you.
