Staying at the Hilton, Marriott, Mauna Kea, Mauna Lani, Hualulai Four Seasons, or any of the other North Kona accomedations available you drive down Highway 19 going south to Kailua-Kona. 7 miles after the airport stoplight turn right on to Palani Road (3 Flag Poles on the Right at the Corner). The Kailua Pier is at the end of the Palani in front of the King Kamehameha Hotel. There is no parking available directly in front of the pier.
For pay parking you can choose the King Kamehameha Hotel on Palani in back of the hotel. The enterance is on the right after the second stoplight on Palani. Usually runs about $9.
Or as you come down Palani Road turn left at the second stoplight onto Kuakini and go south about a block for the free public parking entrance on your right. This is one street above the coastal drive of Alii. There are sidewalks leading down inbetween the shops. You will see the pier in the bay as you walk on Alii.
Walk along Alii and go past the chain gate at the end of the pier. Walk out on the pier to find your Blue Sea Cruise's Vessel for check in. Either the Gold and Blue M/V Spirit of Kona or Blue and White M/V Makai. Check is 30 minutes prior to departure. Here you will find a podium at the loading ramp to the boat manned by our crew to greet you.
