Board the M/V Makai and settle in the cushy comfort of the upper deck as we cruise to the evenings Manta site for your Big Island snokeling.  Enjoy the scenic Kona coast as your crew pampers you with snacks and beverages.  Upon arrival, move to the lower “wet” deck and prepare for the experience of a lifetime as you anticipate the arrival of the evenings entertainment, the giant Kona Manta Rays.

Manta Rays often swim within inches of our guests as they hold on to our specially designed “Circle of Light” viewing frame. This frame allows Manta Rays to swim up in front our guests not just under them. This not only gives our guests the opportunity for a better view of the Mantas, it also allows for a safer encounter for the Mantas.  Human contact such as accidental kicking of Mantas or touching Mantas, is greatly reduced. Blue Sea Cruises is the only tour operator in the State of Hawaii that operates under guidelines based on the scientific data of dangers recorded for many years by boats to manta rays.

After your Manta Ray dive Kona experience, return to the Makai’s warm dry upper deck to share your experience with the other guests.  Sit back on the return cruise and enjoy complimentary snacks, hot coffee,
sodas even Mai Tias.  Additional beer, wine and mixed drinks are available for purchase.

Times:  Oct 1st to Mar 31st Check in 7:00pm with a 7:30pm departure
Apr 1st to Sept 30th Check in 7:30pm and depart at 8:00pm

Days of Week:  Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights

General Information:
Children 0 to 4 years of age are considered infants and are No Charge on Whale or Manta Watch or Dolphin Adventure
Children 5 through 11 years of age qualify for the Child rate
Children must be 8 years old for Big Island Manta Snorkel and Dinner Cruise
Children 12 years of age and up are charged the Adult rate
All tours depart from the Kailua Pier.
Check-in time for all tours is 30 minutes prior to departure.
*Whale Watch is available seasonally December 15th through April 15th.

Cancellations within the 48 hours may incur a $20 per person booking fee, charged to the credit card holding the reservation. No refunds are available for cancellations or no shows within 24 hours of the tour departure time and will be charged full tour price.
